What Is an Intimacy Coordinator?

An intimacy coordinator is a safety, advocacy, and communication specialist for scenes involving simulated sex, nudity, and other moments of heightened vulnerability. Acting as a liaison between production and cast, I choreograph consensual, story-driven action, help establish closed sets and nudity riders, and make sure everyone's boundaries are respected before, during, and after filming.

Why hire one?

Intimacy coordination isn't just about safety — it's a production investment. By clarifying boundaries and building trust before cameras roll, an intimacy coordinator reduces the risk of miscommunication, on-set discomfort, and costly re-shoots, keeping your production on schedule while meeting the industry's current best practices.
